This post was made on June 13th on the rebootmayhem boards(I look to the boards) by mayhem.
Its never good to post up sad news, but I felt that this deserved to be mentioned. Brenren already knows about this and I'm sure there are a few others on the boards here who know of the situation too.
A friend and ReBoot fanatic who goes by the web-name of "Libra Phoenix" is terminally ill. She has heart & lung cancer at the tender age of 16. Her close friends have been trying to encourage perhaps a special episode to be produced by Mainframe Entertainment in honor of this fan, but obviously this is something that would not really be feasible. Brenren and I worked out ways we could do something for her like bringing her out to Mainframe Entertainment itself for a personal tour or something like that. Her friends have been sending out e-mails to people who had been in contact with Libra to get their support in even getting MFE to send a card out to her. I e-mailed Gavin Blair to see what could be done and he was willing to send out an autographed card of the characters to her. This was not something that we did just because she was ill, rather it was done because it was something that we, as a ReBoot fanatics community felt was necessary to do. A fellow ReBoot fan, who was more saddened by the fact that she would not get the chance to find out what would happen after "Crouching Binome, Hidden Virus", needed our support.
I've just received word that she has gone back into hospital and that she is now likely to spend the rest of her days there.
I didn't post this message here to encourage people to go and write to Mainframe and push them into doing something like creating a new episode just for this person (Gavin actually specifically requested not to receive hundreds of e-mails about this), I posted this message because I know that the majority of members on this board always rally around other fans who are going through rough and painful times, and while Libra may not have the chance to view any messages here, I thought that perhaps hearing from the ReBoot community (via her close friends) would at least give her some happiness in these obviously rough days/month ahead. You do not have to post anything here if you wish, its completely up to you.
To me, it doesn't matter that I didn't know her as well as I could have, what matters is that she shared a love of a show that brought us all together here, and has brought together other groups on other websites too. Libra helped to contribute to the ReBoot community through her fan fics and her artwork.
My thoughts are with her and her family.
Well the members of I look to the board gave there support to Libra Phoenix. She recieved the messages and had friends reply for her. But I'm sad to say that this morning at 9:23 AM she passed away.
This was an email posted by a friend of Phoenix on I look to the boards.

Friends, buddies, chums ... this morning at 9:23 AM, a great friend and inspiration (of sorts) was lost to us. Diane has passed away, and though I am sure we all feel a great loss, we can put our minds to rest in knowing that D has found peace at last, and isn't suffering anymore. For us, this day will live for always in our minds until the day that we join her in whatever the afterlife brings. As for John and Melissa, I'm having a get
together at my house tonight, if you want to come. Marie and Paul, hope to see you there. For now everyone, chaio.
