Personally I say Jovian Chronicles. I tried to run a Mecha campaign in BESM once and it fell apart after two sessions. The sihlouette system (the rules system used in JC) is much more streamlined and tends to carry stories along better. At least in my opinion.

Role Playing Game
basically if you know what dungeons and dragons of vampire, the masquerade are, that's a roleplaying game. They are notoriously difficult to define. Basically a group of people each make a character, a fictitious person represented by a series of numbers and ratings depending on the game, and guide the characters through a story. One player acts as a sort of 'referee' moving the story along. In recent years, the popularity of Anime has caused several companies to release games inspired by anime, or even based on actual anime series. That about covers it.

Yes, very cool games. I actually found a new one the other day based on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It's not technically (or even sort of) anime, but the game I'm running is set in Meiji Era Japan so there is a heavy Kenshin influence. ;D
